In the 1990s Leo Erken regularly flew back and forth from the village of Amsterdam to the city of Moscow to then take a slow train in the direction of the countryside. Greater contrasts were hardly imaginable. In his tour during the Noorderlicht exhibition Land he will talk with the visitors about the contrasts between then and now. Leo Erken is chairman of the Gkf professional photographers’ association. He has realised various photo and film projects including a documentary on his colleague Eva Besnyö for the NPS programme Het Uur van de Wolf.
