Biography

Khalil Hamra (1979) was born in Kuwait, and studied journalism at the Islamic University in Gaza. Like his colleagues Mahmoud Hams and Fadi Adwan he grew up in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yebna, near the  Egyptian border. He began his career with al-Ayyam, a Palestinian newspaper. In 1995 he moved to Associated Press.
