Paolo Woods (The Netherlands, b. 1970) grew up in Italy, has lived in Paris, and is presently stationed in Haiti. He devotes himself to long-term projects that combine photography and investigative reporting. He won two World Press Photo Awards and a grant from the Magnum Emergency Fund. With the writer Serge Michel he has done four books, including Chinafrica. Gabriele Galimberti (Italy, b. 1977) studied at the Fondazione Studio Marangoni and ran a photo lab and gallery. He has been active as a photographer since 2002, both for periodicals and commercial clients. His work has appeared in Newsweek, Le Monde, Geo, La Repubblica, Vanity Fair and other magazines.
