Noorderlicht continues to fight for survival! |

The Cultural Council of The Netherlands recently advised the Dutch Government to cut the financial support to Noorderlicht after 2012. For Noorderlicht the consequences are nothing less than disastrous.
Noorderlicht has made an official appeal against the negative advise of the Cultural Council. On July 13, the Council will react to this appeal. read the appeal>>

International Photofestival 2012 |

Terra Cognita
Friesland, 2 Sept - 7 Oct The composition of the 19th edition of the Noorderlicht Photofestival entitled Terra Cognita is nearly completed.
Based on the work of more than 100 photographers, Terra Cognita sketches a picture of the relation between man and nature. The main location of the festival is the Museum Belvédère on the Oranjewoud Estate (near Heerenveen). Ancillary locations: Museum Dr8888 (Drachten), Museum Willem van Haaren (Heerenveen) and Blokhuispoort (Leeuwarden).
