Around the World in 80 Shots

Anonymous stereo photographs from the 19th century (in cooperation with ICM Haarlem)

An homage to the writer Jules Verne and traveller Phileas Fogg; to Henry Fox Talbot, discoverer of the negative; and to David Brewster, inventor of the stereoscope. And not to forget, to the anonymous manufacturer of the two cabinets of stereo views that are on display during Noorderlicht in our book, record and print shop – including large numbers of photo books!

Boekenpost, the magazine chronicling the ups and downs of the rare book world and Dutch collectors, named Berger & De Vries as Antiquarian of the Year, 2011.
