Route Old Sugar Factory

The entrance to the Old Sugar Factory is located near  Energieweg 10, next to the Groningen ring road. The Factory is accessible on foot and by bicycle via the bridge across the canal (Hoendiep).

Bus
From the main Bus Station you can take bus, line 8, to the 'Atoomweg' busstop. Then cross the road and walk a couple of minutes along the canal (Hoendiep) towards the bridge.

Car and parking

Take the exit Centrum/Hoogkerk on the Ring Road (N370). At the roundabout turn on to Hoendiep road. Take the first trun left on to the Energieweg. You will find free parkingspace along this road or at Kwantum’s parking space.  Via the bridge across Hoendiep until you will reach the entrance of the Sugar Factory.

The parking space for disabled people is accessible through the old entrance. Please use the following GPS coordinates for the right destination: N 53°12'40" E 6°32'38".To open the fence please call to: + 31 (0) 6-857 43 980.
